HOW IT WORKS

From first click
to a real resolution.

Six steps, each with a guardrail. This is the intended design. The product doesn’t exist yet, so the walkthrough on this site is a simulation.

A SESSION, STEP BY STEP

Consent first. Action second.

  1. Start from a support page

The customer opens a support page in their browser. No installation is needed to begin.

GuardrailSessions are bound to a verified company origin, so a cloned page can’t impersonate the real one.

  2. Grant the smallest useful scope

Viewing, controlling and using the camera are separate permissions. Each is explicit, limited to this session, and revocable at any moment.

GuardrailNo silent or standing access, ever.

  3. Diagnose with context

Epidermal combines the company’s own knowledge with what it can see in the session to work out what actually happened before it proposes anything.

GuardrailAnything on screen is untrusted data, never an instruction.

  4. Propose, approve, act

The agent shows the action it intends to take and what it will change. The customer approves; only then does it act. Anything destructive needs a separate, explicit confirmation, with rollback where possible.

GuardrailEvery action is written to an audit log.

  5. Resolve, or hand over properly

If it’s fixed, the session closes and access ends. If it isn’t, a person receives a report of what was seen, what was tried, and why the agent stopped.

GuardrailNo dead ends, and nobody starts over.

  6. Learn, with a person in the loop

A newly discovered fix is queued as a candidate. A human reviews it before it can be reused as a standing solution.

GuardrailFixes are generalised without leaking one customer’s data into another’s agent.

WHAT YOU SEE THROUGHOUT

Visible. Reversible. Yours to stop.

These are design requirements for the product, not features you can switch on today.

A live indicator

Whenever the agent is active, a persistent indicator says so and shows what it is doing right now.

A running log

Every action appears in an audit log the customer can read as it happens and a company reviewer can read afterwards.

A stop button

Ending the session ends the agent’s access immediately. Refusing a request never costs the customer the help already given.
